Make sure you shop around

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
We lived in our apartment for under a year. Trash pick-up was a continual problem as was dirty/sticky hallways. Our upstairs neighbors let their ashes fall all over our patio furniture and grill. Noise was also a problem as our neighbors wrestled at all hours of the night waking up us constantly. In addition to numerous middle of the night fire alarms, we decided it was time to move. Owners do not pick up after their pets. Parking spaces appear to be too few for the number of residents living and one often must walk a distance in the dark to reach their apartment if coming home late. Overall, it wasn't a horrible place to live, however I wished we would have shopped around. Prices appear to be high for what one receives in terms of maintenance and service from the office. Often felt like I was a nuisance for requesting package pick-up. Turnover has been high- at least 4 apartment managers in under one year according to my count. The hot tubs routinely are broken in addition to the treadmills. The gates have never worked during the year, even though we leased this apartment with the understanding that the apartment provided security gates and were going to fix them. This has not happened.
