After renting here for a year, I looked forward to renewing my lease. That's when I heard about the complex being sold. The new management has raised the rent by $75, is requiring new 'security' checks for existing renters and seem to be totally unconcerned with the safety and security of the present renters. Our mailbox was broken into, the door RIPPED off its hinges. When I went to report it, the new staff was impassive at best. They informed me that I would have to pick up my mail at the post office until they can get around to fixing it. The security lights in the breezeway have been burned out for two weeks, yet nobody can get around to fixing them.

These problems did not happen under the old management, who seemed genuinely interested in providing good service and cared about the renters. The new management, it seems, _wants_ to drive away the present renters so they can do some significant makeovers and turn the complex into 'premium' apartments like the ones next door.
