These reviews are so right on about some things, but overall I have had a mostly positive experience living here.
The bad: Last summer the pool was only open for a total of maybe 2 months, which was irritating, and the laundry facilities are usually really dirty - seems like that place gets cleaned up about every 6 months at best. I mean, at one point it looked like someone had flung poo against the windows. Never had a problem with noise from neighbors on either side, but it seems it's the floors and ceilings that have no insulation: if you live here, pray your downstairs or upstairs neighbors don't like to watch TV or listen to music late at night because you'll hear EVERYTHING. I agree that the apartments are very poorly sealed and insulated from the cold/heat overall. Being on the top floor keeps me fairly warm in winter (if I stuff socks under the front door to keep out the constant draft), but last August my util. bill was $180 because the AC had to run constantly just to keep the apt. at 75 degrees. Also, rent steadily increases here every year, in fact, my rent has gone up about 30% since I moved here in 2006. What was a great bargain when I first moved in is not really any more.
The good: This is a really safe, convenient location, and I love that the apts. are so close to biking/walking trails, parks, and the Louisville Rec. Center. Overall my neighbors are friendly and non-shady, and if you're looking for a community that's mostly free of loud, hard-partying students it's a safe bet. I also love that they are pet-friendly here (can be surprisingly hard to find in the Boulder area), although some lazy pet owners just leave their dog's poo laying around everywhere. Guess that's not management's fault, though! I have found the office staff to be very friendly, and have had no problems dealing with them.
