From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/29/2004 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004   Unfortuately I saw this site after I moved in and was looking for somewhere else to live. If you like good customer service and a friendly face, don't bother living here. I was attracted to the Horizons because they had competitive prices for their apartments. After living there a month I realized that it was probably due to not paying their employees much. If you receive a package, a slip from the post office goes in your mailbox and you have to go to the main community building to pick it up. Make sure you have at least ten minutes for this task because the person at the desk usually isn't there. Anytime I asked an employee a question they asked like I was bothering them. On the day I dropped off my keys and garage door opener I asked for a receipt, after hearing about other peoples's experiences I wanted to be sure they didn't pull anything. The girl at the desk said she didn't have a receipt. Then I just asked for something in writing where it was documented that they received these items. Another woman who was helping another customer yelled from across the room, "We don't have receipts". I said look I just need a piece of paper with a signature saying that I dropped off these items. The other woman said in an annoying tone, "We can put it on a sticky note". Oh, I'm so glad they can spare the paper. Who ever heard of a business not supplying a receipt, of any kind! This was the last time they would see me and have a chance for me to spread a nice word to someone. They just lost a lot of business because they couldn't see giving me a reciept. They didn't provide a walk-through, I'm praying nothing will go wrong with my deposit.
