I am typically a synical, finicky person, but in all I am satisfied with the Horizons. It seems like most of the negative comments were posted in past years but I have lived there since August of 2005 and have no real complaints. The best thing about the Horizons for me is it's location away from the city and all that comes with it, but the complex itself has it's benefits. Twice during the fall the wind blew the pilot out on our water heater (which I mainly blame on Colorado weather), the maintenance crew was prompt, and flexible I said I would rather someone came at 7pm when I was home as opposed to during the day when the apartment would be empty and friendly gentleman showed up and fixed it for me. A few things to improve upon for me would be clearing ice of the private roads, I think they lay down some sort of gravel salt mix but don't blow so sometimes it can be slick. Also, I know some people complain when their trash cans got snagged by maintenance for being left out, but coming home on a trash day in this windy town can make it look like a disaster zone, so I would rather they actually moved cans out of the middle of the road (where the wind often pushes them to) more often. In all I feel very comfortable, safe, and even proud when friends from Denver come by and see our place.
