I am shocked at all of the negative reviews on here - but I guess it's mostly people with bad experiences that comment.
The Horizons is not perfect, but is one of the nicest communities I have lived in. I first had a two bedroom and later switched to a three bedroom. Prices fluctuate a lot depending on the time of year people move, but the rate I got was better than any of the surrounding communities and had WAY more to offer. (Renewal rates are always higher, but that is standard in this area).
With a community of this size, you have to expect some things not to be perfect. The parking is ok - at least EVERY unit gets it's own garage. Extra spaces are sometimes difficult in the evenings. The snow removal this past year was exceptional considering that we had the worst snow storm in years here in Colorado. They only have so much manpower people! The size of the community does prevent them from getting to the residents walkways, stairs, and driveways - so you should have a shovel on hand.
The thing that I think is the worst is the settling of the foundation. But you'll notice that it isn't just the apartments, it's the entire city of Superior. They do what they can to help the situation, I have watched them tear up and redo the roads twice in two years.
The staff is kind and they do as much as they can (being owned by a large company) to be as helpful as possible. (They don't have a receptionist though and desperately need one :)
That's all. Hope it's helpful!

This review is obviously an employee of the property. Or my former next door neighbor (who was always high, which would also explain this review...).

This is CLEARLY a paid endorsement by the property management, go to apartmentratings.com and check out the other 101 BAD reviews by actual tenants that have to live this nightmare. Not FAKE reviews by the staff that lives here for free.........PLEASE, does anyone believe this BS???

"The size of the community does prevent them from getting to the residents walkways, stairs, and driveways - so you should have a shovel on hand." HELLO?! What am I (and all the other tenants) paying so much rent for?? I live in an *apartmemt building* - common stairs and entryways are supposed to be cleared by the property owner unless specific arrangements have been made to the contrary.
