We moved into the Horizons last June with a little hesitancy after reading reviews on this website. However, we had no choice as we needed a short-term lease and have a dog. We couldn't be happier with our choice to live there!
We NEVER heard our neighbors at all. We had a garage, so parking wasn't an issue. I loved the fitness center and pools. The balcony was nice, as well. All the appliances worked perfectly and if I ever had an issue (carpet was coming up from the tack strip once and a fluorescent bulb was out in the kitchen), maintenance was there literally the NEXT day, just as scheduled.
The only complaint I would have is that people don't clean up after their dogs. It was usually concentrated in certain common areas, but sad that owners don't know how to be responsible for their dogs.
Overall, a wonderful experience!

Wait till the first snowfall that they don't clean up and you fall walking to your car. I'm sure you will change your opinion. And did you love the main pool by the fitness center...oh, that's right, it was closed ALL summer...hmmmmm

Actually, we recently learned that the main pool by the community center was closed down for a reason. And, as of right now, the Horizon's are constructing a brand new pool ... Katie Fischer let me know it would be opening sometime in the spring.

Hmm...doesn't it sound like the person writing this review works there? It's probably the crappy Property Manager that is NEVER available to talk to. Is she even ever there? If you need to call and speak with her it is next to IMPOSSIBLE to talk to her. Anyonymous seems to be very defensive in responding to geminideb's comment, and the fact that they checked back in to respond to it...not likely just a "tenant." I mean how often does one actually take time out of there day to right a positive review on a web site such as this. The Horizon's sucks.

I'm writing as the original author of this review (beardie73) and responding to one of the responses suggesting I work at the Horizons. Sorry to disappoint, but I am actually someone who lived there and took time out of my day to write a positive review b/c we did have a great experience and had referred to this website prior to moving in. I thought people might want to know that it is possible to have a good experience at the Horizons b/c all people seem to write is negative stuff. I have a friend at work who is living there currently while waiting to move in to her house, and she's had a good experience so far, as well. For us, it was a great experience while our house was being built. Honest review from an actual past tenant!
