Years at this apartment: 2007-01-01 - 2008-01-01
I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with "Anonymous" #1 down there - Perhaps this person's apt is an older one and isn't of the quality they would like or expect, but I had no problems or complaints at all with MY apartment, and have NO problem at all putting the unit I lived in under the "Luxury" category.
EVERYTHING in my unit was BRAND NEW - appliances, cabinets, countertops, flooring, carpeting, fixtures, all new bath room, even new outlets & switches, and probably more that I'm not even aware of!
Besides, I've lived in Meeker a long time, and I've both lived in and SEEN what the other apt buildings in this town have to offer.
NONE of them come close in comparison to the quality of work that went into the renovation of the apt that I lived in.
I know it's an older building, but I also know the construction industry so I know what I'm looking at (i.e.
new roof, new energy efficient windows WITH screens, new paint, new doors, etc.) and can confidently say that the owner's and the management team have worked very hard to improve the building and property in many areas.
The one thing I found most "irritating" had nothing to do with the building, the property, or the managers, but rather THE RESIDENTS who had little regard for their efforts.
This was evidenced in the way my fellow neighbors would toss their cigarette butts on the ground, even though they were standing right next to the ashtray.
They would walk across grassed areas out front, even after being asked not to b/c the managers were trying to repair damaged areas & build it back up, trampling new plants and/or trees along the way.
Or how about those that were guilty of leaving their trash, bottles & cups tossed outside of their vehichles, and other distastful practices leaving either the managers or the other workers to pick up and dispose of for them.
Of course, people are entitled to their opinions, and I guess that's what this, and many other, websites are all about.
At the time when we rented there, the prices were a little high, but then so were everyone else's - - but what Playa Del Rio had to offer was well worth the price.
As for the "Similar Residences" comment, well, in MY opinion, none of the other apartments in Meeker even come close to what Playa Del Rio has to offer.
Plus the managers are really decent people - I couldn't ask for better.
