This has been a pretty good place to live for the price we are paying. The new management (started about a year ago) is better than the previous management, though sometimes it takes a couple of calls to get something repaired. The maintenance guys are usually pretty good at doing a good job, though, unlike the previous ones. I won't say that the management is perfect and I love them - they have certainly frustrated me on a few occasions - but they at least seem to be trying to be helpful. Things do break, but we don't seem to have anything we are constantly fighting with. It is not completely soundproof, though it usually isn't too bad; it really depends on who your neighbors are.

We have appreciated the efforts that the new management have put forth in painting the apartment exterior. They even paid to have someone steam clean our rugs when we renewed our lease. As others have mentioned, many people don't pick up after their pets which is disgusting and I hope it doesn't cause them to change their pet policy. I appreciate that I can have a pet here, and wish others wouldn't abuse the priviledge.

Our kitchen is pretty small, but I like that we have a washer and dryer in our unit. The layout is pretty nice and roomier than other apartments I have been in, though, of course I would love to have some extra space. There is a pretty good amount of storage available. We have a storage closet on our balcony, a closet in the living room area, two walk-in closets, a good sized closet in one of the bathrooms, and another storage closet just outside the front of our unit. Parking can get a little tight late at night, but we are always able to find a spot, though it might entail a bit of a walk.

Basically, this is not a hoity-toity apartment, but it isn't in the ghetto, either. I have found it to be pretty safe, not too noisy, and in a location that is convenient for my husband and I. The floorplan fits our needs better than many out there. We have very few issues with bugs (mostly the occasional spider). There is a bus that runs straight downtown that picks up at a couple stops near the apartment complex that makes my commute pretty easy and allowed us to move to just one car - nothing to scoff at with the way gas prices are now. The interstate is about 10 minutes from us. Just about any apartment complex in our price range is not going to provide the quality and service that we would really like to see, but it is enough since price is so important to us.
