What a joke...

I have lived for a yr now in both a 1 bdrm and a 2 bdrm. I wish that I would of moved into one of the run down trailer parks on Federal! I like so many other residents have the bugs coming out from my bathtub daily even after being "sprayed"

The first apt was no were near as bad as the 2 bdrm I have now. The only issue I had is when I transferred the management tried to tell me that I had left my apt a mess in which was not true and I had to go back and clean it or get charged. Well when I went back in there were cigarette butts all over the floor, I do not smoke!, and paint from the painters all over the carpet. When confronted the office about this I was told no one had been in there. The plant hooks I had in my ceiling where on the floor and the nails I had left in the walls had either been painted over and or pulled out of the wall.

The 2nd apt I moved into was worse. I had looked at it about a month before I moved in to make sure it was want I really wanted. When I first saw it, it needed paint as there was a huge patch done on the wall and you could see that it was never painted over. The carpet smelled of cat urine with burn holes in it, the bathroom closet door with one good pull, which you had to do to actually close it, would come down off the wall. The tract was literally coming out of the dry wall. The refrigator leaked and the kitchen tile was stained from water. The front door lock was coming outta of the wood frame and with a good push anyone could of broken in. Well when I talked to Shawn about this he assured me that it would all be taken care of by the time I moved a month later. Lets just say it took them about 9 weeks upon moving into the new apt to fix these problems. On top of that, the night I moved into the apt I turned my dishwasher on, not many have one, and it flooded my whole kitchen. I called the on call mainantance and was told its not an emergency and to mop it up myself. I live on the 3rd floor.

Well a few months into my new lease in my new apt the tile in the bathroom shower started coming off. There was moisture behind the tiles on the drywall. I called the office and told them. Then 4 days later had to go in and tell them again and when did this, Nancy the manager looked at me and was like I dont know what you're talking about. They told me then that it would be done on Thursday. Ok no big deal it was getting done. At this time they were turning on ACs and tryin to get the pools ready to be opened, It was delayed until the next week. They installed one of the wrap around shower things but instead of taking the tile off the wall it was placed over the tile. I since then have had them come out to recauck the plastic because the tile is now pushing that off the wall and the grout had turned orange.
Now the pools. Nice size but no heaters. Well they have heaters they just dont work.
The pool I live near is the most popular and good god have I seen some crazy stuff. Tennants and their guests jumping off the shack that holds the pool supplies into the pool, them jumping into the pool with the chairs and table tops, which by now are all ruined and no longer able to be used. Not the managements fault completely but when told about this, did nothing. I have seen people throw beer bottles into the pool, soda into the pool you name it! Parents do not watch their children. I have watched a little girl almost drowned because she didnt know how to swim and no parents to be found. On top of that no one at the pool could help her because she like most of the residents didnt speak english!
I had to rely on the cold pool again this year because within the first week of the ACs being turned on mine blew. So did the AC in my other apt within the first week but unlike last yr they jumped on it. I needed a new condsor and it took about 3 weeks for them to get it. The day after it was fixed, it froze up and now when I run it too long it freezes up and i have to turn it off in the middle of the day to let it melt. What more can I say on that'

Safety: NONE
Windows are old, front door locks are difficult, you have to play it most of them to get them to lock and unlock, Lights in stairwells dont always work, bird crap on steps, lights and everywhere else, balconies wobble, fences loose and falling down, railings are wobbly, parking lots are very unsafe and very hard to find a spot at night due to the Colorado Cue Club and bar, mailboxes not secure(broken into twice in 2 weeks many many more..........

I can say something good. Now that they have a full maintanence crew stuff does get done alot faster. Zach is the best here and he does it all right. They have gotten some decent men to fix the stuff around the place but until Urban Inc can find them some more money, theres not much this place can do but hang on! If given a decent amount of money to update this place, Im sure management could really do some decent well needed work. Until then I would say stay away. Its not worth the hassle until they can update the place....

Good luck Northglenn Apts!
