When we considered living here, we did so because of the good deals. However, IT WAS NOT WORTH IT!! This is low-income housing and with it comes people who think they are the only ones that exist. Every building, which is supposed to be secure, is not. In one year, I had to call the cops a dozen times for a number of things. (I had the lady across the hall from me break into my apartment and steal over $3,000 dollars worth of my belongings!) I was witness to a domestic abuse case that occurred right down the hallway in my building (this place IS NOT safe). My car was vandalized, etc. About 90% of the nights my husband or I had to bang on walls to get the people to turn down their radios (and this was at 11pm at night). The staff has a turn over rate like you would not believe. You will see new employees all the time and they could care less about your safety or any issues that you are having. Residents think that the lawns and halls are trash cans. It is nasty. Overall, I would say that this is the worst place I have ever lived.

Your comments/rating was great for the most part, and appreciated as well. Except for the assumption about the low-income people making it a bad place to live.
I have been researching apartments here on ApartmentRatings.com for several days. I have found that there are just as many problems in apartments with high-income tenants as there are in those that provide Affordable Housing to us 'poor folk.'
In other words, inconsiderate idiots come in all shapes, sizes, colors, genders... and incomes!!!! Unfortunately, lack of concern for others is becoming a huge problem in our country. Your lack of empathy for low-income people is a perfect example. You assume that poor people are to blame for all of the problems you experienced at Village at North Hills.
It's people like you who make things so difficult for us poor folk in the first place. Shame on you for assuming. I'm disabled and cannot work, due to a car accident. I was hit by someone who thought he was the only one who existed (he changed lanes w/o looking)... and he was driving a BMW!.
I am a considerate, empathetic, quiet, responsible person & neighbor, as are all of my low-income friends.

The apartments across the street are pretty good. Until they assume that you are doing wrong and allow the police in your apartment. I my apartment was a mess one day and they assumed that I was abusing my kiddo. This was the deciding factor that made me not renew my lease with them.
