Not so Luxurious ...

Our family moved into Briagate earlier this year and we were SO excited because it IS such a nice property. It IS gated, well-kept, and beautiful all the way around. Briargate's downfall is their SERIOUS LACK OF MANAGEMENT and a crappy, self-absorbed staff. As it would happen, we got our apt by defualt and I coincidently happen to run into the VERY people who were originally suppose to take our apt who told me they backed out because of the lack of customer service and personal detail.

Our apartment was NOT ready for move-in ont he date we had asked. Our lease had been typed up wrong, they collected the wrong dollar amounts from us and then came back a week later trying to get us to pay more money because THEY had made a mistake in paperwork. Then they tried to shorten our lease term, tried to take away our move-in special because they switched us to a different unit ... The office staff is a nightmare.

I have sent several people to Briargate because they liked our apt so much and each and every one of them have let me know how stuck up and unhelpful the staff are. I get $500 credit on my rent for referral's so that makes me mad. The apt I wanted was $2000 a month when we moved in and now they are renting it to someone I know for $1300. They wheel and deal and you only get anywhere if you kiss their ass.

Briargate was without a manager for a long time, now they have an incompetent man who has his ass so far uop his head most of his office staff have quit adn his remaining employees refer to him as Rick the ----. This man has been incredibly rude, demeaning, and unhelpful in resolving issues we've had with our apartment since move-in.

An employee told me how he took my family's file and mocked us in front of his office staff for simply asking him to look into an over-billing issue. This community has no idea what the word community means - the business center hasn't had a functioning printer since we moved ina nd good luck getting the hOme Theatre to work for you.

They treat their employees and their residents like crap, the turnover in the office is proof of that. DFor such a beautifully adn luxurious complex, LAMAR needs to open its eyes.

I agree! My husband and I live here. Maybe we should all get together and file a formal complaint with the actual management company! This is ridiculous! I am paying more here than anywhere else I looked at we all get treated like crap!
