Lived over a year, had one set of neighbors that were maliciously loud. Called the police several times, nothing done. In fact, when they found out we complained, they stomped on the floor up and down the hallway for months up until precisely 10pm, the moment noise is suppose to stop. They moved out. Next set or tenants moved in with relationship issues and noisy. Had a party first week upon moving in, called police, they would not open the door. The police banged and yelled for half an hour (at midnight) waking up and scaring our child. Again, nothing done. The police were great, but no one seems to be held accountable for being loud. The final thing that led us to go was when we could hear our neighbor behind us snoring. It was as if they were in bed with us. It was so loud, our neighbors upstairs starting beating the floor thinking it was us. The walls are very thin and our friends still there have the same problem. They can hear their neighbors alarm go off in the morning. I was told that noise is part or apartment living. I lived in several different apartments while in college and in CO. Never heard anyone snoring or any other everyday noises, even while living on the bottom floor. Ever. So, not a great experience, nor was the lack of sleep.
Oh, we were never late on rent either.

so ..... if you had been late on the rent, would you have had a quiet neighbor? I live here to and yes I do hear my neighbors sometimes, but it is an apartment, and if I have a problem, I tell my neighbors or ask the office to take care of it. There is only so much you can do, they can be baby sitters all of the time. I am not always happy here but my sister has a house and her neighbors are pretty crappy. you cant win them all ya know?
