False Advertising to get you through the Door!

At first glance this place seems to be a really nice place to live. They offer two clubhouses with two year-round heated pools (HA HA), hot tubs, and gyms - however it is all a LIE to get you in the door. When we moved in at the beginning of the year, convienently BOTH heaters in BOTH pools were broken and have remained broken and the pools unheated from the New Year through now, June 2008. Hot tubs only work off and on and our constantly filled with unsupervised children. Not even for Memorial Day weekend did they bother to fix up or attend to the outdoor recreational area's of either property.
When inquiring with the leasing office they said they have no intention of heating the pool that the sun would do a good enough job. So there is a HUGE difference in my opinion of having broken pool heaters and being TOO CHEAP to heat either of the pools they advertise as heated AND year round. The water is SO cold and every resident trying to use the pools complains that they haven't heated the pools for years. FALSE ADVERTISING. If you have to wear a coat in 60 degree weather, how can you be expected to swim in it' I'm sure water that cold isn't good for children either. We have a family and one of the main draws of living here was being able to use the pools for our family in the warmer months, well the water is SO cold we have to go to the REC center and pay or friend's pools. Windrock/Stone Canyon does NOT care.
This is a Qwest/Direct TV ONLY property so when we lost our satellite signal we could not get ANYONE to help us until the next day when our Qwest Rep was available. THEN when calling the repair center they said they couldn't send a repair man out unless 2 more people called to complain '!' The leasing office does and says nothing about any of this.
There is NO parking even though it may seem ample at first sight. Most residents have 2 or more cars and in the evening and on weekends there is nowhere to park. People park commercial and recreational vehicles all over the property - one man runs a tow truck company out of his home and everytime he leaves and comes the whole complex has to listen to his truck beep as he backs up and pulls in.
You can hear ALL of your neighbors ... It sounds like we have an apartment of 12 living above us and our neighbors beneath us have complained that we are loud too when we try very hard to be quiet - these apts are badly built and if you like playing your tv, listening to your music, or sleeping - more importantly if you have children who SLEEP or NAP during the day this will be impossible if you live here. You can hear every person going up and down the stairs in the hallways, lol and people move in and out at all hours of the day and night.
I hear the property is being sold this summer and all I can say is I certainly hope so. I am contacting the BBB, The Parker Chamber of Commerce, and Colorado Apartment Association as well as all advertisers ( Apt Blue Book, Rent.com, etc) to let them all know this place uses false advertising to get people in the door with no intention of following through. Emailing and contacting Sares-Regis accomplishes nothing as well, afterall they're the ones saving money by not following through with their advertising.
Beware if you move into this place, all is NOT as it seems.
