I have to say that I think ALL apartment complexes have issues and unhappy residents. On that note, my roommate and I have lived in Stone Canyon for about a year and a few months, and we are completely happy. Sure, the doors are really loud when they slam in the hallway, there are million barking dogs everywhere, and some really big and nasty spiders. But seriously, there's really nothing that is super horrible about this place. We have always had decent customer service, things get fixed when we ask, and for the most part we have been completely left alone. Nothing has fallen apart in our apartment, the carpet has held up, and the space is perfect for roommates. I think there are pros and cons in any complex, and it is confusing to me how many people are unhappy in almost any complex I have lived in. Especially since I have had very few problems. These are apartments, and perhaps people expect too much - renters come and go, and at the end of the day, you're nobody special. Just live and be happy. Oh - and I agree the pool can be a little too cold, and parking probably sucks for a lot of residents depending on where you live in the complex. Overall, though, this is a nice community that is taken care of and completely safe. As a suggestion, ask your neighbors to try and close their doors quietly...that's a great way to eliminate unwanted noise and befriend your neighbors. It's what my entire building has done. Oh and there are a lot of really great views!
