I've lived in Stone Canyon for 7 months, this is our 3rd apartment, and I've never been treated so horrible. When we first signed our one year lease, the apartment was not ready for move in, and they said it was. They had to spend 2 additional weeks fixing the place, (preventing us from being able to get settled). The maintance workers were incredibly slow and never understood what they had to fix, causing more issues.
We have people upstairs who are incredibly loud day and night. After several complaints and police calls leasing refused to do anything. The people upstairs urinated off of their balcony onto ours and leasing still refused to settle the problem.
After speaking to someone in the leasing office, we ended up breaking our lease. They didn't seem to care one bit, all they had to say was "we're sorry you weren't happy here" WHO WOULD BE WITH CONDITIONS LIKE THIS''
They NEVER shovel or plow. I was induced the day after christmas to have our son and I came home from the hospital 4 days later, and it still had yet to be shoveled.
Also, fire alarms go off frequently. Causing issues with the fire department.
It was the biggest mistake I've ever made and I HIGHLY suggest you find somewhere else!
They also lost our rent check (paid on time in deposit box) and we came home to an eviction notice on the door. The management is COMPLETELY unorganized. They have a severe lack of communication in the office. no one knows what they are doing.
you will regret signing your lease! I promise!!
MOVE ON TO A NEW LOCATION! YOU WILL BE HAPPIER!

For a year now, my building has been absolute wonderful. The maintance are outside very early in the morning shoveling the walkways and such. I've never had any problems with the leasing office or the staff. Just because you had one bad experience, why ruin someone else's living here? Apparently you don't like giving people second chances. Now what if your next place is just as bad? Will you leave the same type of messsage as well?

I honestly think the management team at this apartment complex is a joke. Doesn't matter how many times you call the police or courtesy partol they won't do a damn thing except say well you can break your lease. And take your money and not return your deposit. They are an un healthy apt complex not cleaning up after tenants. The head management company in cali will not return one phone call. Don't waist youe time they are a horrible apt to live in they also allow child molesters live there as well and don't care that police are called out everytime of the night. They don't take action like they say they do nor honor the lease they have tenants sign as well.

My husband and I have lived here for about 6 months and love it. During and after snow storms I always see the plow trucks and the maintenance staff shoveling. Not sure about the previous comment about the child molester. My husband and I both had our background ran before moving in. I'm not sure how someone with a charge such as stated above can live here, unless they are not on a lease I guess. The office staff has always been very helpful and kind. I'm sure managing so many apartments is a lot of work. From my experience living all over the country I know anything can happen anywhere. With a complex this large there are so many different issues I assume arise all the time. I have referred several friends here, plus once they moved in I was given a referral check. I love it here and plan to renew for at least another year. Also the comment about the complex being unheathly is really strange...

I have lived in Windrock since 11/07. I have never once had a problem in this complex.
I leave for work between 5:00 and 5:30am and typically they are already shoveling or have shoveled during the winter months.
If you have people urinating off the balcony and have called police several times it seems hard to imagine nothing has been done. My neighbors would leave their 2 cat boxes out on balcony for weeks on end and I finally talked to management and they said something to them and that NO LONGER happens.
Also, since I have been here I have never hasd ANY fire alarms go off. Are you speaking of in your apartment or in the hallway? If the fire department is being dispatched and it is a false alarm they would be charged. I hardly doubt they would intentionally let this keep happening in YOUR building to cause them more expense.
Lastly, to make sure they can never say they lost your rent check...pay online as I do. You get a confirmation number and is quick and easy. Your login to www.srgliving.com You would create a user name and password and can login and pay rent online and also schedule your work order requests for maintenence to come out and fix something.
Never been happier!
