Things have changed for the worst...

I have lived at Newport Village for almost 4 years now, and have things changed!! A few words of advice:
1) ONLY RENT THE COTTAGES!!! The apartments are WAY too small, and you can hear your neighbor sneeze in the next room. Many times, the cottages are very quiet and a much better feeling. The cottages have vaulted ceilings, that make your apartment feel a TON bigger.
2) There are 3 full-time maintenance men that I see every day around the complex, and yet when you call for a problem''' Hello' Hello' It takes FOREVER to get a response. Even when they fix it, the things are so old, that it tends to break soon after.
3) I dont think my toilets have worked right for 4 years that I have lived here. They are fine until you try to flush TOILET PAPER, then CLOG!!!
4) The neighborhood has turned into "Boyz 'n The Hood" lately. I had a drug dealer right next to me, and they are renting to low lifes, kids who PARTY ALL NIGHT LONG, and other undesirables now. You better change your ways or you will lose longtime tenants. Many people I know who lived here for over 3 years left just this year, because of the new ghetto atmosphere. This used to be a nice place to live, now it has just turned into the projects.
5) Your rent is WAY TOO HIGH!!! For living in the sticks that this complex is, you would think they would compare to other places.
6) Is it too much to ask to shovel the driveways, walkways after a snowstorm' You would think with all of the money that we spend here, we wouldnt have to worry about stepping in snow to get to our car 10 days after a 2 inch snowstorm.
7) Watch your cars!!! My car has been broken into, rammed, dented, and messed with numerous times while here. Ugh...I am so out of here when my lease expires.....

I disagree with most of this review. I have lived in one of the apartments for almost a year and while I agree they are small they are not for the price. I looked at several places before moving here and these were the nicest for the price range. 2. I have only had one thing break in my apartment and it was fixed within hours of when I reported it. 3. Never had a problem with a toilet. That says a lot considering I have a small child who enjoys flushing piles of paper. 4. This is your only arguement I agree with. We have many nice neighbors but the police have to come frequently due to domestic disturbances. 5. Rent is resonable when compared to other denver metro area apartments especially those with firplaces, balconies and washer and dryers. 6. This arguements is just not true. We have someone shoveling or sidewalks at 5 am after it snows. Not to mention I have never seen snow last 10 days in Colorado. 7. I have two cars neither have been broken into or damaged in any way. |
