November:
8: moved in, signed lease, noticed numerous things wrong with apt, listed them on the conditions sheet, did not spend the night
9: finished unpacking at 10 pm, fireplace did light with small flame- no alarms went off- I turned the fireplace back to OFF.
10: in morning attempted to take a shower but got cold water. Water heater was out. Made a phone call to office to fix it. It was fixed when I got home from work later.
12: No hot water yet again, water heater was out, bathroom sink was leaking, and fireplace would not light. Called apt to fix it, they came and relit the pilot on both the fireplace and the hot water heater and fixed the sink.
16: Fireplace would not turn on at all, made phone call to have it relit.
19: I went to work at 3pm, when I returned home at 10pm, there was a smell of gas in my apt, a note that maintenance had fixed my fireplace, and I attempted to turn it on with the wall switch above the fireplace. I had it lit on small flame for a matter of a min, before my carbon monoxide and fire alarm went off. I called 911 and they dispatched firemen to come turn it off since I had no metal key for the gas valve in the wall. I then called the emergency maintenance to come turn off my gas because I could tell it had been on all day and he was in no hurry. He even said if the firemen get there before he did if I could call him so he didn t have to come out. The firemen showed up, turned off my gas valve to my fireplace and said there was no gas leak. They then, on their own, found my water heater outside and discovered that it was out yet again! They also inspected it and unplugged it and the fireman instructed me to have the fire marshall come out and red tag the building if it was not fixed properly or replaced the next day. I left and went to parents house for the night.
20: Went to office to fix water heater and fireplace. Water Heater was fixed later that day.
21: Attempted to use fireplace on lowest setting, but alarms went off yet again. I ceased use of it completely.
22: Thanksgiving, family was over, attempted to use hot air, and it blew cool air, seemed as if it was recirculating my cold air from apt. water heater was working.
28: After being in the emergency room since 12am with my sick dog, I returned home to find that my water heater was out yet again. I returned to the office and informed the office manager Kerri Navarro of the issues I had had since move in. 2 property maintenance men were dispatched to my apt, and fixed it. Yet again in a matter of hours my water heater went out. I returned to the returned to the office and informed them that it was out yet again. They brought an outside vendor repairman. They attempted to fix it for over an hour. When they left it was fixed .
December 2: water heater is out after returning home from work. Maintenance man Rick was dispatched to my apt, and fixed it. 2 hours later I checked on it and yet again, water heater was out. I left and went to parents house for the night.
3: Spoke with property manager Kerri Navarro at 12pm, she informed me that they were getting a new water heater since the one that was in my apt upon move in was the wrong model all together. Kerri informed me that it would be finished by the afternoon and that I could even come home and stay at my apt that night. I informed her that I may or may not stay with parents another night and that I would figure it out later. I also informed her that I would be working the following day incase it needed more time. I did not specify what time I was working or if I would be returning home that night. After not hearing from apt all day come 9:30pm I decided to stay at parents house another night and just return home in the morning giving them more than ample time to complete this job.
4: I left parents house, drove back up to thornton from Aurora, at 9:30 am, returned to my apt at 10am. As I drove up I noticed my water heater door still placed on my patio. I then entered my patio to discover the door off it s hinges, a tool belt, and piping on the floor of the patio. No maintenance man in sight. I walked to leasing office, spoke with Kerri Navarro and asked her why, after being displaced from my home for over 24hours, the job was still not done. She said that the maintenance men were there super late last night and around 10:30 they asked if they should work through the night and she told them no, under the assumption that they could work on it in the morning , since she assumed I would be at work that morning.I informed Kerri that I never specified what time I would be at work, and that I never specified whether or not I would be returning last night to my apt. I informed Kerri that I had driven all the way back up here to get ready for work, and enjoy my apt and have some down time. She offered to let me in another apt to take a shower. I told her no thank you, that I was going to drive all the way back to my parents home in aurora, get ready for work there, and drive all the way back up to Westminster for work in a few hours. I also informed her that I would be staying with my parents yet again this night. I informed her that I never received a call one way or the other on the status of the job so I assumed the issue was completed and corrected. Clearly I was wrong on this matter. I told Kerri to call me when the job is actually completed correctly and completely. At this moment I am waiting for that phone call.

wow, I can totally relate. I hated living there and have heard nothing but complaints. That place is a nightmare and it sounds like they're on another manager as well,..so that makes 4 different people hired in there in two years to run that hole?! Thats just sad. That place is a joke.
