Good apartments, with hidden costs

Compared to the reviews of some of the rival apartment complexes, I can see that we have been very lucky with our time here so far. The staff have been very friendly, and have not changed. Any maintenance issues have been dealt with quickly, and the pool is now finally open for the summer.
Due to low occupancy at the moment, there is plenty of parking, and the neighborhood is very safe.
HOWEVER... The TV/Internet Qwest deal is a total scam. Our internet has broken several times and is much more expensive than it should be (giving more money to the Retreat). Likewise the DirecTV deal is terrible. We have to pay $6 a month for a receiver, and if we buy our own, they still charge the fee, claiming it is for maintenance of the dish that we all share...
The gym is heated to 80 degrees all year round, which makes it very difficult to exercise in there. Also, the equipment is cheap, meaning that it breaks often (running machines etc), and gives you static shocks if you touch it.
We are very much looking forward to seeing how much of the deposit we get back, after what some of the other reviewers have said. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai
