I have lived in AMLI properties for years and have always been relativley satisfied. I relocated to Denver and had to transfer my lease from the previous place to avoid the ridiculous "early lease break" fee. I didn't have many problems when I lived there with maintainence or staff, but I didn't find the apartment to be that luxerious. It is really close to the highway so there is constant noise. My neighbors were college kids who partied and smoked up all the time. And the utility bills were out of control. I agree that parking and the lots sucked when it would snow. All of the roads and walkways became ice skating rinks. Despite numerous complaints. I was quite disturbed to get of the shower one morning to find a lady in my apartment cleaning...who didn't speak a lick of English. Upon moving out I had to pay outrageous fees for stupid stuff. Ex: I didn't paint the kitchen and bathroom with gloss paint. I was never told about that when I asked what type of paint I needed to buy. Our renewal came up and our rent was skyrocketing almost $300 for the same unit. We had no choice but to move. It was disappointing because I have always been happy with AMLI and always received my full deposit back (maybe minus $40) but not this time. I moved and did not stay with AMLI. There are other communities in the area that are less expensive and just as nice. Do your research.
