It used to be a very nice place, when it was Archstone. With glass and trees, big living room with walking closet, children were not many, very quiet and very nice. Since when Broadstone owns this place, this place got very very cheap...

First of all, even though we pay rents/water bills properly, they sometimes give a notification that we never paid. Once, they gave us the court notice that they are going to take it to the court! Check went through, what's going on this place. Trying to take money as much as they can from us it's getting to seem like seriously. Archstone never treated us like that.

First thing it has changed is that they don't keep the glass nice at all. They hardly watered until the city people came for inspection to order them to water 3 times a day during summer time (since it was totally yellow, it was embarrassing every visitor mentioned about it).

Maintenance became the biggest nightmare here. They always notify the day before (late afternoon) that they are going to do mainenance from next day but the letter is saying they need you to notify them early enough to schedule the maintenance day if you are planning to travel or with other problems like dogs. How can you if they notify you the day before. Same as doing stuff in a parking lot, they notify you the day before to move your car... OR they tow you right away. "THE DAY BEFORE"...

I asked them for 3 times to fix leaking of the diswasher, they never fix it. City people also ordered them to fix my front door for safety, they never fix it (very dangerous but they never care!). Nov 30th 2007 is the last day for them to fix anything city people told so but they never came. I have waited total 4 weeks of their maintanance weeks. Maintenance used to be very proper before but not no more with Broadstone, they don't come to you and never fix it for you no matter how many times you ask them.

Instead of that, they built useless carports with very cheap looking roof, which NOBODY is using (I heard it's about $30-45 a month!) I have experienced the mortorcycle stolen once, the car got broken into for twice, got the big dent, parking here. It has happened in 1 year. The sidewalks have so many cracks/dents/cave-ins that is so dangerous for old people and people who have disabilities I see here, but they never ever try to fix it. Only making useless parking lots with cheap looking carports to get more money from us. It takes FOREVER for them to take care sidewalks when it snows a lot too.

I also agree with other post, that anytime you get in the shower it's hot/cold/burn/freeze/hot/cold... etc. It seems like they can never fix it too.

Archstone tried to keep me with very very minimum raising of the rent (only about $10 or so). But with Broadstone, the rent went up over $100 in 1 year. They are trying to raise more again, so I am moving out, it doesn't worth to pay $700-750 here AT ALL.
I've noticed so many people moved out from this place, there're many spots to park in this parking lot, it NEVER EVER used to be like this before for 2 years. If they don't want to try to keep the old residents, then it's fine. Keep charging more and more and loose good neighbours and people.

I am moving out in this January 2007. With Archstone, probably I'd have stayed here...
