These apartments are now called Canyon Chase and are a mixed bag. On the plus side, the larger units have ample room, the woodburning fireplaces are nice, and there does not seem to be any crime happening here. On the negative side, maintenance is painfully slow, they nickel and dime you to death for every single expense that they can (i.e., water/sewer/trash is an extra $40 a month, you pay extra to have a washer/dryer, you pay extra to have a covered parking space), they FORCE you to pay an extra $40/month to have Comcast cable (it is not optional) even if you don't own a TV, and if you have the bad fortune of moving in adjacent to a cigarette smoker, you're stuck having known carcinogens drifting into your home 24/7 with all the cancer risk that goes with being exposed to second hand smoke around the clock. Yes, there WERE totally intrusive "inspections" going on 3 or 4 times per month during a 3 month period last year - I even had maintenance people walk into my apartment during one of those with absolutely no notice and with not even a knock on the door - however, that problem seems to have stopped and I'm not aware of any "inspections" that have taken place in the past 9 or 10 months. If you're thinking about renting here though, I'd DEFINITELY ask them what their policy is regarding apartment inspections and how often they intend to do them. It was a total invasion of privacy and in some cases, as you'll see by reading the other reviews here, was done in a manner that was illegal and in violation of landlord-tenant laws in Colorado.

I had issues with inspections as well. No notice, no knocking! They would come in while I was sleeping! It was scary to wake up at 9:30am, walk into the kitchen and see an inspection sheet on the counter and know two or three men were in my apartment while my husband was at work! The maintainance staff that I met was all quite nice, but you never know who may come walking in unannounced.

Yeah, that compulsory cable subscription was very Gestapo and -----ish. I myself don't watch that much TV (I watch Hulu) and yet I had to pay for a cable subscription I did not need. Why not just say, we need to raise your rent? It's a lazy-brained excuse.
