We have lived at the Estates at Tanglewood for nearly two years. I don't know how we lasted this long. We have had two cars stolen from right outside our apartment, one a total loss and the other had severe mechanical damage and eventually had to be traded in. At first, we had trash service, security drive thrus, computers in the clubhouse and air conditioning in the weight room. Now, there is no trash service, no security, no computers (except in main clubhouse), and no air conditioning in the weight room. Our last straw was when we rented out the clubhouse for a baby shower. There was an alarm that went off every 15 seconds. I called the leasing office every 15 minutes because it was supposed to still be open. I left several messages with the on-call maintenance staff and even called the security line. Not one call back! My guests and I had to endure the most annoying, high pitched beeping sound throughout the shower. Not only was it annoying, but it bothered me that not one of their staff came to see what the alarm was about. On the alarm panel it read: Danger in zone B building 16. Why have an alarm system if there isn't a follow up when the alarm goes off' The next day I called and spoke to someone in the leasing office and she basically told me it was my fault for not coming down to the main office to wait and talk to someone! During my own shower! Her exact words were: "if it were my shower and an alarm was going off, I'd go to the main office and wait for someone to come down and fix it". They didn't even offer to reimburse us for the cost of renting out the clubhouse!
When we called to place a work order, it was never followed up correctly. Either the agent wrote down the incorrect information or the maintenance person did not complete the work requested.
Don't be fooled by the nice appearance of these apartments. Take the time and read through all the reviews before seriously considering a lease here. The only reason we've stayed as long as we have is because we couldn't find something in the area so my kids could keep attending their current elementary school.
