This is not the worst place I've ever lived. Compared to equally priced apts in other states, this is very middle-of-the-road. If you are comfortable being a minority (the complex is 90% Hispanic) the apartments--make sure you get a newly renovated one--are OK. Plenty of room, no bugs to speak of, more or less quiet. Among the troubles I've had: the mostly-inept office help--assistant Helen is excellent and attentive, but the manager is rude and the se habla secretary is new and highly incompetant. The dumpsters are farther away than normal (not onerous); there are constant loud car alarms (universal in all apartments); but above all, there is the simple fact that the poor construction and plumbing allows the neighbors' cigarette smoke into my non-smoking apartment. The plumbing has never actually broken--it's sufficient, although you need to bleed out the cold water before you shower--but the walls are hollow and the air ducts are all connected. Smoke 24/7; I've given up on getting the office to fix it. However, the apartment is much, much better than anything downtown within $200 of the price, and the tenants (though not exactly friendly) are trustworthy. It is, in essence, an Hispanic community, and if you are comfortable with that, they are more or less respectable and the area is very, very safe. Of course, I'm a 250 pound dude, but I would probably not be afraid even if I wasn't.

You make me sick! I am a white girl. That should not matter though! I can understand your complaints with your apartment complex and I am sorry. You do not need to say anything against another race though. I am so sorry that you are so ignorant. GROW UP!

Thank you for this very helpful rating. I am moving to CO from South Tucson, where the majority of the population is hispanic. I did not find any of your comments racial, considering where I now live is 99% mexican. There are three other white families in my complex. My husband and I do not get along with anyone here. So your honest and respectful rating and comments will help us to know to avoid that area. Thank you very much.
