Most relaxing place EVER! Pet friendly

I'm a newbie to the Vintage- I just moved in this past weekend but so far I have nothing but good things to say. I have read some of the other reviews and I will definately keep my eye out, but in the meantime, here are my observations with a "fresh eye":
-Customer Service: I worked with Chery and she was awesome. She was very friendly and upbeat and seemed genuinely interested in what I needed from an apartment. She showed me one apartment model but when I mentioned it was a little "closed in" she showed me a second one that was just what I needed. The apartment complex is very pet-friendly (especially Chery). She keeps a jar of dog biscuits on her desk and knows all the dogs by name. My pets are my babies and I really feel they are welcome here. I can even bring my little chihuahua into the leasing office to say hello. I did need the maintenance dept. to come in to replace a water knob on my washer/dryer outlet and the maintenance guy was there in less than 20 hours. He was very nice and friendly and did a great job.
Parking: I've heard the parking is bad but I got a garage and LOVE IT. It's an extra $65/month, but with winter coming up it's totally worth it. It's huge too and I have tons of extra storage room for Xmas stuff.
Noise: I haven't heard a soul yet! I do hear one of the neighbor's dogs barking sometimes when people walk down the hall, but other than that it's quiet. I don't even hear toilets flush or anything.
Grounds: Everything has looked great. There are plenty of big trees and landscaped grass areas that are perfect for the dogs. They have trash cans and "doggie doodie bags" available as well, but unfortunately not all the residents use them. My only negative so far is that there are lots of doggie piles everywhere.
Safety: So far, so good.
Construction: My paint and carpet are new and I have lovely crown molding everywhere. The kitchen cabinets are newer but the counters and appliances could use some updating. The bathroom is HUGE and the tub/shower is awesome, but it's got a huge ledge and it's hard to get into. The sink/counter is also huge but it's really low and I feel like I'm in a short-person's house. (and I'm only 5'3'') The windows are huge and have new blinds and the patio is great. The layout of my apartment is so open! Open living room, kitchen, and dining room and the bed and bathrooms are tucked in the back. There are lots of electrical outlets and light switches and the linoleum in the kitchen and bathroom looks like faux slate tiles. I found this place from the "For Rent" magazine and it stated they have "extreme closet space"-- well, they were totally right. There's a huge coat closet, a huge pantry in the kitchen, a linen closet in the bathroom and an awesome walk-in-closet with built in shelves. I also have a utility room where the washer/dryer goes and it's enormous. There's tons of potential for shelving too.
Overall: I did come to this place because my prior living situation wasn't great. I was living in a dark condo that was totally depressing and this apartment was just the opposite. Lots of light and tall ceilings. I felt like I can breathe and I feel very welcome. I can invite friends and family to visit and I'm just really happy here.
****10/25/08 Update****
I posted this first review a few days after moving in and thought I'd post an update after living here for a little while. Just wanted to say that I am still really happy living here at The Vintage! Everything I said before is still true and there have been no disappointments. I have noticed after putting up pictures and shelving that my one complaint from the "construction" section is that the studs in the walls are virtually non-existent. I wanted to wall-mount my flat screen TV and it was very difficult finding a stud that was centered in the wall. I've found this to be consistent with the whole apartment, so if you plan on needing to secure anything to studs in the wall, you may find some problems. I made it work though, so hopefully this won't deter anyone!

Dear Icanbreathenow,
Thank you for posting both responses because I am considering living at the Vintage when I sell my house, and the other comments were worrying me. I want a design with a garage, too, and I don't think I've seen the one you are describing. Which model did you rent? Also, can you tell me how much you pay for water and electric so far? One of the complaints listed was about the water bill being very high and that the insulation was poor which leads to high gas/electric bills. If you want to respond to me offline, my email address is butterfly752@msn.com. Thank you!

butterfly752 your water and electric will be through the roof I just moved to a cheaper apt in lakewood and my water and electricity were nearly cut in half, becuase the vintage ties other things into your electricity and water
