This place is awful. The buildings are so old, as well as the appliances. The construction of the building is poor. Doors didn t lock properly, the bathtub surface started peeling within a month of moving in. When we asked about having it resurfaced, they wanted us to either stay there and inhale the chemical fumes of the surfacing treatment or get a hotel. They would not provide accommodations to repair the poor work they had done. We had our ceilings leak from the pipes that constantly burst upstairs. The A/C units themselves never blew strong enough to warm or cool the apartment. The maintenance crew is inadequate, constantly having to come back and forth to repair the old machines. The management is awful as well. In the two separate times we had to live there, they would lose our rent checks or money orders and later try to charge us fees. They would yell and rudely say that we didn t pay, and not bother to calmly resolve the situation. After we showed proof of our payment, they would take off the fees, but wouldn t apologize for their rude handling of the situation. The main manager, Rhonda, was never friendly to her tenants, no matter what time or day. The neighbors are loud and ghetto, constantly blaring their loud music from the parking lot or apts. They screech down the driveway and race through the parking lot. The kids are a problem, because the parents let them run around until midnight, throughout the complex, vandalizing stuff. The laundry room is also always full, never enough machines to use, with kids running all over the place and banging stuff. The kids, again, on two separate situations, set fire to a large bush near a building, and also set fire to a storage shed near another building. Talk about poor, ghetto parents living there. Our cars got broken into, and vandalized. THERE IS CRIME IN THIS NEIGHBOORHOOD. Just look at the people around you as you drive through. Please don t live here. We made the mistake of living here, ONLY when we had to go to school because it was close to our college, and we left as soon as our semesters ended. We lived at the closest better looking properties, Concordia/Diamond Head, and those were about the same, so STAY AWAY FROM THIS ZIPCODE!! 80214. We lived in Arvada, and boy, what a difference.
