I have lived in these apartments for over 6 years and it has gotten noticeably noisier over the last 1-2 years. When I first moved there, it was always quiet at night and you could enjoy reading a book or even some quiet time. Yes, you hear water running and people walking/talking as mentioned in other posts, but you are going to get that in any apartment.

What has bothered me recently is that it has gotten noisier and nobody seems to do anything about it. I hear the bass on people's stereos (going easily until 11:00pm or later), not enough to rattle things on my shelves, but enough to hear boom-boom-boom as I'm sleeping or trying to get to sleep. There are also a lot of kids running around in some of the lower level hallways. I understand that kids, by their nature, will make noise. But I don't understand why they are allowed to literally run in the hallways, sometimes unattended.

Two years ago I would have recommended these apartments highly, but lately I think they aren't what they used to be. It's a shame that you can't get a little quiet and common courtesy and consideration from people, especially considering what it costs to live here. I fully understand that you will hear "life" noises in an apartment, such as water, walking, etc., but there are other noises that can be controlled, such as music. It's a little baffling that with iPods and mp3 players all over the place, nobody can be bothered to use them at night.

I have mentioned these things to management, but they just seem to shrug it off, saying they will send out a notice or such, but then never actually doing it.
