Not worth it

I lived at the Hawthorne for a year. Here is my take on the experience - First of all, I think the apartments are too small for the price and they really have no style. Downtown apartments are priced about the same and are much larger and have more style. The staff is intrusive - I left my door unlocked once and I found them inside my apartment because they "were concerned the door wasn't locked". I have also experienced the numerous inspections that are far too often and for no good reason. Three in as many months at one point. The last thing that made a strong impression on me was the move out inspection. Hire a professional cleaning crew to disinfect the place from ceiling to corner to corner, because unless you do, you will be charged a professional cleaning fee and pictures will be taken of every stain, hair, spot that you may have overlooked. All this adds up to a nice bill at the end of your less than mediocre existence at the Hawthorne. A bill so petty it actually outlines $25 for the outside of the toilet, complete with a picture that one of these people took on all fours. Pathetic. I have lived all around the country and abroad, and I have never experienced such pettiness or lack of professionalism and propriety as I have at this place. The Hawthorne is not worth it. g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd
