Good & Bad

Since I live upper level, I don't hear noise from above. This was a constant problem in my lower unit. Sound like the ceiling was caving in, I was waiting for the plaster to fall on me. Dog running around, barking, piano echoed through the apartment, children or dog running around like crazy. It drove me insane because i could not control the disturbance. It was a form of torture. Now I have moved to an upper level, its great. Few complaints from people who lived underneath, but its very hard to control sound from walking, floor creek, toilet flush, anything. I have to live very cautiously, its not really comfortable for me since Im always concerned about other people. Im always trying to keep quiet on everything I do. So there is a flaw either living up or below. You either have to deal with noise from above, or constantly monitor your noise level above. People who complain about arguing, well its understandable if its not continuous. I raise my voice, like every human being has a right to do, in an argument, without concern for who listens. But thats life. Alot of the reviews are true, the dead body being found, the drug dealings, you can smell the weed sometimes in the summer, who knows what else is done. The mentally challenged people around the complex do make me think where I live, because when the weather is nice they wander around by themselvs. They always want to strike up a mumbling conversation with you when you cross one. I dont want to live in a mental health facility, since I may have go there one day lol. But it sure seems that way at times. This place is NOT a ghetto, no matter what people say. Theres no gunshots, robberies, trash. Its kept real clean, tidy. Maintaince always maintaining. Riding around on their lil golf carts. The tennis court and basketball court are nice additions. The pool is nice, but its always crowded , and its never open late. Not everynoe who lives at HW are decent people, you will run into a jerk a time or two, but thats anywhere you go. Management is OK. They try to keep on top of things the best they can. They do a pretty good job. THE RENT IS OUTRAGEOUS. IF YOU MAKE TOO MUCH, YOU PAY TOO MUCH, IF YOU MAKE NOT ENOUGH YOU PAY TOO MUCH. They are trying to squeeze every dime out of you, before you go broke on all your other monthly bills. I pay $900 a month. Its fair to pay $700 a month. I dont see where the other $200 go. Maybe to water the grass for the 10,000 time, other then that. Ouch
