Changed for the worst

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2009
The day I moved in some years ago maintenance was out cleaning the parking lot. I have not seen this done since. I was not going to renew my lease but needing 60 days notice without huge financial penalties was an issue. Still at that time it was still better than many other places. Over the last year it has gotten much worse. They let anyone live here now. Lots of college aged people, loud noise/music at all hours, and yes illegal activities. This is not the place if you have kids. The younger adults go barreling through the parking lot and don't bother looking. The apts themselves, the floors creak so badly anyone under you doesn't have a moment's peace. Yes, mold. Every spring and summer you have the swarms of bees to look forward to. I have not been able to use my deck at all because of them. Afraid to even open the deck door. The apts are spacious but there is only one heater in the living/dining area next to the deck door so in the winter it takes a lot to heat up and your electric bill will be very high. The middle apt decks flood when it rains, the bottom apts flood and have mice. Dog owners don't scoop so be careful walking the grounds. Not that you want to walk the grounds. Your best bet is a top floor apartment but the stairs will kill you. They are concrete, many unstable and in the winter walking on them is taking your life into your hands every time. The plastic railing will not offer you any balance as they are very slippery when wet. The office managers are nice enough but not at all helpful and unresponsive. I am moving soon. I would not recommend this place to anyone other than a group of college kids living together. The rent is too high due to the lack of safety and noise. The pool is nasty. If you come home after 7 or 8 pm you will not be able to park. Yes you can hear your neighbor's conversations and snoring. Apt living, you will have some noise that you will have to accept. But there are no rules here as to when you should be turning music down or anything so the noise is often unacceptable. Management prefers you handle this yourself which could put you in harm's way.
