i had no idea that there would such a strong indian prescense there! its super duper strong!!! i have never seen so many in one area. i dont have a problem with it tho except when i say hello and dont get a response or go to take my daughter to the park (its absolutely filled) we're from different cultures and so i feel uneasy about letting my daughter play in the playground. im black so im trying to not treat others as i've been treated before.

with that said.. sheesh! i hope everyone is nice.. going forward

oh the apartments are VERY nice.. spacious and classy! at 935.00 for a 2 bedroom and the option to have a dog is nice as well.. i grew up in hartford and if i didnt get robbed there i definitely wont be getting robbed in WOODCLIFF ESTATES.. ha.. couldnt imagine.. i wish someone would >:)

hey maynetain i just saw some post, as a previous tenant in woodclikf, ive moved to Edison, NJ now. Again i totally agree with all your comments and I too being an indian, I can understand your uneasyness. Usually ------- in US most of them in Apts are in H1/L1 visa, might've come to US for the first time, probably few months before and mostly will be here for a short span of time. ------- are cordial and so helpful for any outsiders (even other state person) in India and try to help to the max. But, when they come here, they become bit reserved, cautious (I need to agree) due to the impression created outside US (that ------' are riskier to move with them closely, due to lot of NJ experience ------- had, usually due to Jersey City blackmails by ------ for laptop/money). So, dont take it too much, especially ladies will be too much reserved, due to our culture in India. But, Im telling you, they're so nice once you start talking to them (some may not be able to speak english). BTW, I lived in Woodcliff for almost 18mths until last July, such a nice place (i used to wish everyone to makesure black/white dont get the image on ------- like you have now). Happy stay in Woodcliff and nice front desk i need to tell. jinishans

I lived there too and I'm of Indian descent, but don't have any of their culture. I'm married to a Jamaican, but that wasn't the problem! I converted to Islam and I got looks of death like you wouldn't beleive. Some Indian tennants pointed and laughed at me, blatantly! And I did nothing! I guess a lot of people have their own xenophobia. When minorities are outcast by other minorities, it makes you wonder! Anyways, even though there were 4 other ------ families in the complexes, I still did not feel at ease. Hindus really have a long held hatred for anything islamic, but they should really check that at the airport when coming to the land of the free, the big meltingpot!
