I have been a resident of Stony Brook Village for many years. Reading some of these comments about Stony Brook is appalling to me. I believe that Stony Brook has improved drastically since the new management and maintenance staff took over.
The women in the office I find to be helpful and genuine, always speaking the truth. The maintenance guys are hard working. They always come right away if I have a problem.
I will not complain about the cost of the rent because I feel that the apartment, the amenities, and the area make the price reasonable. Also, my rent has never gone up more than $25.00 in one year, which is normal and reasonable in apartment complex.
Finally, there are no complaints from me regarding noise. Yes there are many children, but I never hear a lot of noise during the day, and it is especially quiet at night.
Maybe these comments were made about a different Stony Brook Village in another town or state because they definitely aren?t an accurate portrayal of the community I live in.
