I HAVE TO DISAGREE COMPLETELY WITH THE BELOW COMMENT...IT IS OBVIOUSLY SOMEONE WHO IS DISGRUNTLED AND PROBABLY FACING EVICTION THEMSELVES....FIRST I MUST ADDRESS LUCY AND STACY.. THEY ARE NOT FAKE...AS A MATTER OF FACT THEY ARE THE FARTHEST AWAY FROM FAKE YOU CAN PROBABLY GET...LUCY AND STACY AS I STATED BEFORE A VERY KIND HEARTED PEOPLE WHO LISTEN AND RECTIFY ANY SITUATION THAT MAY ARISE..SECONDLY I WOULD LIKE TO ADDRESS THE OTHER STAFF,,,BOB WHO IS THE HEAD OF MAINTENANCE, HE IS VERY THOROUGH...I HAD SOME ISSUES WITH AN DISGRUNTED EX AND THEY CAME IN TO REPLACE MY BROKEN LOCKS AND AS A BONUS WITHOUT HAVING TO BE ASKED BOB INSTALLED A PEEP HOLE FOR ME (AT MY HEIGHT EVEN..IM 5 FEET TALL!!) NEXT ONTO TORY WHO IS THEM MAINTENANCE TECH, E ERY SINGLE TIME I SEE TORY WHETHER IT BE DRIVING THRU THE COMMUNITY OR WHILE HE IS WORKING ON A VACANT APARTMENT, I AM ALWAYS GREETED WITH A CHEERFUL SMILE, A GREAT CONVERSATION AND A GENUINE HELLO..AND LASTLY STEVE WHO IS THE PORTER, HE COULD BE ONE OF THE SWEETEST PEOPLE IVE EVER MET IN MY LIFE...STEVE COULD BE FOUND ALMOST ON A DAILY BASIS SWEEPING THE STAIRS AND CLEANING THE GROUNDS. I REALLY WISH THAT YOU WOULD DRIVE THRU HERE AT ANYTIME OF DAY AND DO ASK CURRENT RESIDENTS WHAT THEY THINK,TRUST ME THIS PLACE IS PACKED AND EVERYONE I HAVE TALKED TO IN THE COMMUNITY SEEMS TO BE VERY HAPPY TO BE LIVING HERE. WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU HERE IS THAT YOU PAY OUR RENT AND REPSECT THE RULES THAT ARE ISSUED IN YOUR LEASE AND YOU WILL HAVE NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. MY 8 YEAR OLD SON LOVES TO VISIT LUCY AND STACY IN THE COMMUNITY CENTER BECAUSE THEY BAKE COOKIES EVERYDAY AND HE LOVES TO GO GRAB A FEW...HE ACTUALLY HAS LABLED THE "COOKIE MONSTER" BY LUCY. THE ATMOSPHERE IN THE COMMUNITY CENTER IS VERT HOMEY AND THEY OFFER COFFEE AND NEWSPAPERS AND NOT TO MENTIION THE LIBRARY (GIVE AND TAKE A BOOK) AND FINALLY THE GYM. THAT GYM IS FULLY EQUIPPED WITH A COLOR TELEVISION AND TWO OF EVERY POPULAR PIECE OF GYM EQUIPMENT TO DATE. THERE IS NEVER ANY WAIT AND THE GYM IS KEPT IMMACULATE. I CAN NOT CONFIRM THE RAISE IN RENT THE DISGRUNTLED PERSON BELOW MENTIONED OR THE FACT THAT THE COMPLEX IS FOR SALE BUT I AM SURE THAT I WOULD HAVE HEARD SOMETHING DUE TO THE FACT THAT MY LEASE IS COMING TO AN END SOON. I REALLY THINK THEY WOULD HAVE STATED THE RENT INCREASE ATLEAST TO ME...I DO NOT OWN CATS SO IF IN FACT THAT IS TRUE, I ACTUALLY AGREE WITH THAT POLICY, CAT URINE IS VERY DISTINCT AND HARD TO GET RID OF THAT HORRIBLE SMELL. WELL ONCE AGAIN I THINK THAT THIS PLACE IS WELL WORTH THE MONEY SPENT AND I TRULY THINK IF YOU DO TRY TO FIND SOMETHING ELSEWHERE YOU WILL BE SADLY DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE ALOT OF OTHER PLACES DO NOT HAVE A POOL (WHAT DOES IT MATTER IF IT IS OLYMPIC SIZE OR NOT') THE POOL ALL SUMMER WAS KEPT IN IMPECABLE CONDITION. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT WHEN PEOPLE WRITE BAD REVIEWS SOMETHING MUST BE GOING ON WITHIN THEIR OWN SIUTATION...DO STONY BROOK A FAVOR AND DRIVE THRU AND SEE THEIR BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS, PLAYGROUND, BASKETBALL COURT, GYM AND EVEN LAUNDRY FACILITY, TRUST ME YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, I CAN GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE IMPRESSED. Hello, Are you for real? This place is over priced and offers nothing but inexpensive interiors as well as exteriors. In the winter we had to shovel ourselves out, the insulation sucks as my gas bill can prove it and these chicks suck. They lie in your face, they don't include the past tenants damages during the walk through to ensure they will keep your deposit so look at every single nook before you sign anything. This place should be called Shadybrook Village. This place is simply a stop on the way to your true home. Most people live here for a year as we constantly see moving trucks. Lower the rent and maybe you will keep the good ones. NO I am not a problematic tenant just an HONEST one.

Again, I cant say it enough, this sounds an awful lot like management or someone working on thier behalf. Why else would you rant on and on about how great this place is? You are not the only one with an opinion. Other people here are allowed to express thier views and not all of us are facing eviction. Some of us pay our rent on time and still think this place sucks. So tell me what do you have to gain from fighting with other reviewers and for posting obviously embellished reviews? I bet you were getting free rent, reduced rent or special treatment of some sort!

We have been model tenants here and still are. This must be Stacy herself trying to defend, it's completely false. The equipment in the gym has been broken for almost 2 years, they are now too cheap to replenish the cups and paper towels! Before we moved in, we showed some of these ratings to the staff, of course they fed us the same garbage that it was "disgruntled tenants", how stupid were we? I'm counting the days to move out of this hole.

Come on now Diana we all know that you are so fake and thats why you fit in so well at SB. Too bad you moved, it was all you honey. Friendly to everyone just to go and run back to Stacy and Lucy with any dirt you had on someone else. Model tenant you werent. You were late most months with your rent but bad mouthed other tenants for being the same way even the ones that you claimed were your friends. Your kid was always getting into everything because he wasnt watched while he was roaming the complex. He was constantly in the laundry room breaking things and in the gym breaking stuff down there too. What a little juvenile delinquent. Mouthy to adults too when he was told to move on and stop breaking things. You lied to management about how many people lived in your apt and you had no job that anyone here could tell so how were you paying your rent? Hmmm, I wonder maybe you were being cut some slack for tattling on your neighbors. Well, at least you did pick up your dog doo. So maybe you really arent a backstabbing, lying, hypocrate, yeah right! Smoke another joint, get off state welfare and get a life loser. You make the rest of us that are still here waiting for our leases to be up so we can get the hell out of here sick with all of your lies.
