I lived in USA for more than 6 yrs in many places.
Apartment manager is rude. Evern after she ill-treated me i was trying to be nice with her...She gave an appointment and never picked up the phone whole
day. Left several voice message and She never wants other nationalities move-in. She asks too many question after seeing the application...She does not encourage from other nationalities....She never gives the application and if she gives the application form she forces the visitors to deposit application fee on spot...She never showed open apartments available...Visitor has to take the apartment she shows and she keeps repeating that there are no other apartments available...and she had a funny joke "SHe mentions you are going to live in 1 apartment why do i need to see multiple options" Damn i pay the Rent...so i have every rights to see multiple places before i decide which one i want to move-in.

You must not know anyone in the apartment complex...a majority of the tenants are from different nationalities. And it is standard to pay a deposit application fee when you fill out an application...
