My husband and I lived at Cornfield for over three years. The apartment was rather small, but the full basement with washer and dryer hook-ups was great!

It was disappointing that every year we received a $20/month rent increase. I don't know that I would still consider the rent reasonable considering there's not many amenities, you can depend on a rent increase every year, and the utilities are seperate (the heat is electric and the average bill was over $100).

Despite the constant rent increases the curb appeal continuously decreased. We walked out our front door of the apartment to see dead grass (as a result of the many dogs in the community). The tennis court is the only ammenity and it looks rather run down and in desperate need of repair.

The office was constantly closed when it was supposed to be open. Saturday hours were by appointment only, which made it difficult to stop in the office and talk with someone. The office staff didn't seem eager to maintain their residents.

After living in the same apartment for three years we asked to transfer to a two bedroom, and we were told there would be a charge to transfer, even if we transferred when our lease was up!

After deciding we didn't want to pay to transfer to another apartment we asked for some paint to touch-up the spots on the wall; we were not given touch-up paint. We asked to have our carpets cleaned as a gift for renewing our lease, they would not pay to have the carpets cleaned.

Although it is not the worse place to live I would recomend other places first before I recomend this place. You pay a lot and get nothing (not even a $50 carpet cleaning) in return!
