I lived here for one year and really enjoyed it. I had a one bedroom townhouse with a full unfinished basement (which was very nice for storage plus it has washer/dryer hookups). The apartment itself was well kept and light and airy, kitchen has a ton of cupboard space and I never had any problem with appliances. Living room has a sliding glass door onto your own little patio. I never had a problem hearing anyone else, occasionally I would hear one neighbor with whom we both shard a bedroom wall, but otherwise it was dead quiet.

It's true that the place has a very country feel, and it is not the newest place either, but it had kind of a homey feel. You are only 5 minutes away from the grocery store and 15 from the mall/movie theater, but the apartment feels like you are out in the middle of a farm.

As far as utilities go, unfortunately you do pay for all your own utilities, which can be quite high in the wintertime. Heating/AC is all electric, so my highest bill was close to $300 in the winter. The other bad thing is that the heating is all baseboards and the AC is a wall unit in the living room and in your bedroom, I was used to having central so it was a bit of an adjustment. Water was cheap though, $15/quarter.

Plowing service in the winter was great, the only time we ever had to wait was when we got that blizzard in February of 2003 that shut down the entire NE. Other than that the plowing and walks were shoveled every morning/evening when it snowed.

Never had a parking problem, also never had a safety issue, which was a big concern for me as I was a single female living there and working nights, so I used to come and go at very odd times. Parking lot was well lit as were the apartments.

All in all I would totally recommend it again, you really can't beat it for the price and area!!
