Bigelow Commons Apartments

My Family lived in building #1, apartment 118 for about a year. In that time, any problems I had, the management took care of immediately, even on a Sunday afternoon. The pools were wonderful! The only down side was the price of the laundry, but in reality, you'd pay that at any laudrymat. As far as plowing, maybe if everyone moved their cars to the designated lot, the maintenance staff could plow better. Any spot that was open was plowed clean. The central hallways were vacuumed once a week and shampooed every three weeks. I know because I worked at home and tracked it. Yes, some of the appliance and cupboards were older. These building have been apartments since the early 80's. However, we had brand new carpet installed in our apartment just before moving in. As for safety, not only do several Enfield police live there, but patrols roll through the parking lots. Overall, I think Bigelow was a nice place.

Reading some of these responses it is very clear that management is doing A LOT of damage control.. My suggestion to all: do your own homework. Only those that work their know who lives there, how often things are done/maintained - be aware of what you read and really think about what is being said. Call teh Enfield PD - get their crime stats. People don't post negative comments based on good reputaions - they post them because something went wrong somewhere - some may be blown out of proportion, but rest assured - they are well deserved. People dont tend to argue about what is good - there are too many other things in llife to worry about - believe you me - this is the management office that responds with all the "new equipment' and 'beautiful pools' and only they will be foolish enough to breach privacy and state that police live on premises - rather than to let them live their lives. Management: spend less time on the computer and more time focusing on your residnets.

Wow, that's a really interesting commentary. I take total offense to your comments above. I am NOT part of the management staff and I DO know first hand of the Enfield policeman that lives there! Furthmore, for your information, I have a sales job that enabled me to be home a majority of the time, and yes, I did notice when my building was being cleaned. Maybe the sound of the vacuum and carpet steamer outside my door was a dead giveaway.....Here's a thought for all of you that don't like Bigelow...Move the HELL out. It's stuck-up, snobbish trash like you that ruins a place and the rest of us don't need you around. Take your lower end BMW out of our lot and free up a parking spot for people who appreciate having somewhere decent to live. Trust me, you may think you're all that and a bag of chips, but to be honest, it sounds like you're an overinflated ass bag that thinks they are too good for the rest of us. Good ridance to you "Anonymous".
