The area is very unsafe. I use to live in Building 6 and I was facing Thompsonville, which I learned was drug and murder district. I did not know since I relocated up to this area. The first time I learned of the area when I heard a gang fight in the back parking lot at 4:30 am on a Saturday morning. I had my window open an I woke up since I can hear the arguement about drug money. They gun shots broke out. I was freaking out. The police were here in 5 mins, but everyone fled away. An elderly neighbor that lived on the first floor had heard the same thing on the first floor that I would occ. see in the hallways. She was also scared, but told me that it was not the first time. Normally they are back there to steal honda and acrua parts from the cars. She also told me of a time when a stranger tried getting into someones apartment on the first floor. (She lived here 5 years) She was already planning to move. Dont know why she stayed here so long. I then started hearing this more and more at the pool& get togethers bigelow had that the neighborhood was horrible.
Its a shame..this place is nice...except for the trash in the hallways. But it seems like Section 8 people were starting to move in once I left. Its really was too bad. If you do move here, never walk in the parkinglots alone at night esp if you park behind building 6 or on the side of building 2. It is very unsafe.
