Good outweighs the bad

I lived there for 3 years and I must say that overall I'm happy with everything. I loved the building and I loved the grounds, the exposed brick & the high ceilings just make for a great apartment. That beings said, the walls are definitely paper thin. I got extremely lucky w/ neighbors for all 3 years except for maybe 2 months in between. When your neighbor watches tv, you know what they are watching! One thing I wish was more regulated was the pool. Every time there is a summer day, every resident of Thompsonville seems to bring 14 friends and kids over to the pool - if there was more control it would have been nice. The other thing was winter maintenance.... the intent is there, plow trucks and snowblowers show up, it's just that ... well they don't seem to know what they are doing and will just plow random spots. The lease says your car will be towed if you don't move it ... well guess what - nobody gets towed and therefore, nobody moves.... you can imagine what it's like trying to plow that lot. Overall I like the place and I'd recomend it. I'm never felt the area was unsafe, then again i'm a guy in my 20's so some might feel different.
