We moved to Countrywood from our previous apartment because of how quiet, safe, and well-kept it seemed. It has proven to be very quiet and well-kept, but there have been a few break-ins, car vandalism, and even a mugging. However, that can happen anywhere. There's nothing on the street except for another apartment complex and a condo community so it's very quiet, with the exception of the trains every few hours. The landlord is nice but maintenance requests have either taken forever or were never completed at all. Only one car per apartment is allowed to park in a numbered spot, and unfortunately we're in a prime location, so one of us has to walk to the other end of the lot to our car. Our neighbors are quiet and nice and yes, all apartment walls are thin, but it's never been bothersome. The parking lot/outside area are not well-lit at all. Shoveling and plowing during snowstorms was not up to par. If it was a weekend, nothing got shoveled until Monday afternoon. The inside of the apartments are updated and attractive and very spacious for the price. The washers and dryers are in one room, next to the pool and leasing office, so it's a haul if you're at the other end of the complex. There's plenty of washers and dryers though so you never have to wait. The pool is gorgeous but we isn't open yet so we haven't gotten to use it since we moved. There's a variety of people living there, from students to young professionals to families with young children to seniors, so it's not a party scene and there are no activities. The condos next door have an indoor pool and tennis courts that people from our complex use. The condos also allow pets so there is an enclosed dog run. Overall, it's a pretty nice place to live. x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk

I don't know why this just posted - I wrote it back in April of 2007. I haven't lived there since July of 2007 and the only reason I moved out was because I moved to Florida for grad school. My roommate still lives there and loves it.
