Would have stayed if I didn't have to relocate

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2003
I lived at The Summit for 3 years, and it was a good place to live. I recently moved out because I couldn't find work locally and was forced to relocate for my new job.
The current office staff is the best ever. Every October when the first cold day came, I had no heat. I was told the heat comes on when the outside temperature goes below 55 degrees F. My previous heat complaints under previous office management usually got responses which fixed the symptoms (no heat) but that old thermostat had frequent problems with controlling the heat (or lack of heat). This October, when I told Misty the assistant property manager about the heat failure and the history behind it, she apologized and I ended up getting a new, modern thermostat that worked perfectly.
Other than the heat problem I enjoyed living there. Sometimes a wet summer can bring pests into the apartment, but it was a minor annoyance and the ant traps helped.
As for security I've only seen a cop car there once in some investigation. I had sliding windows and doors, so I put yardsticks and broomhandles in the rails for extra security and had no problems.
Lease breakage is one month's penalty, which can run $1000 or more. However, some places I've looked at had worse penalties (continue paying rent after you move out until a "replacement tenant" is found or until the lease expires, whichever comes earlier). There is A/C in the wall and modern appliances, so it is comfortable living. Covered parking is convienent in the winter time, although the steep hill up to The Summit complex can be difficult to navigate during a winter storm. Farmington itself is a nice town, and I will miss it. I would have stayed if I didn't have to relocate out of the area, but I'm sure someone is enjoying my old apartment now (hope you like the new thermostat).
