I honestly tell people that I live in the ghetto of Farmington. The place is horrible. All the negative comments about this place are all true. Here are ten main reasons not to move to this ghetto: 1) The snow removal company is plowing at three or four in the morning and it wakes you up!!! However, they don't plow when it is time to go to work so the parking lot is covered again. It is so true about taking your life in your hands going up and down the hill to this complex. It is a skating rink. This winter I saw a car hit the guard rail going down the hill. 2) The windows are very drafty. I can actually sit on my couch and feel the wind blowing in through the windows. 3) The company cares about the way the outside/exterior looks compared to the inside of your apartment. I constantly see landscapers doing things around the building. However if you ask them to fix things in your apartment they cobble it together rather than actually fix the problem. 4) They are now asking you to take out a policy of personal liability insurance up to $50,000 when you renew your lease or sign a lease. 5) Sometimes you are lucky that you get heat in your apartment. We lost heat and hot water to our apartment several times this past winter. 6) The complex does not have suitable mailboxes- they are small!!! So, the mail carrier sometimes leaves your mail on the floor of your building's hallway. So-anyone can walk by and steal your mail. 7) The laundry room is dirty and in the summer there are creepy crawlers residing in there. The washers do not clean your clothes nor the dryers get your clothes fully clean. You have to redo your clothes most of the time. It is easier to take them to a laundry place or wash them by hand. 8) The walls are paper thin!!! You can hear your neighbors and they can hear you. 9) The carpeting in our apartment is nasty.!!!! Our carpet is suppose to be a tan color but it is gray!!! It was like this when we moved in.. 10) Don't plug your toaster or coffee maker in the same outlet because you may see sparks.
