Better Than A Lot Of Those Other Places

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
My husband and I lived in Country Glen for two and a half years. Overall we had a pleasant experience there. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I realize since we left the office staff has probably changed though. The apartments were nice. I LOVED having a fireplace and vaulted ceilings. The indoor pool and hot tub were a major plus as well. Parking could be a hassle if you got home late at night and some of my neighbors didn't know how to park and would take up two spots, but that is really my most major complaint about Country Glen. The heating got to be expensive, but I think you would run into that anywhere. Electric heat is just pricey. The bedrooms, dining area and living room were all nicely sized, the laundry room with washer and dryer was a major perk, the only issue with space was that the kitchen was pretty small. Yes the appliances are older, but I never had any problems with any of mine and I think they are switching most of those out anyways. We got all our deposit back plus interest and we came away from the experience happy with our decision to live there. I think for short term housing this place is a pretty good choice, especially when considering some of the other apartment choices in the area (two thumbs WAY DOWN to La Triumphe in Groton and Nutmeg Woods in New London). Annother major perk was that even though rent for new tennents went up...they never raised our rent.
