Above all, the manegement staff is completely outrageous. They have made my stay here miserable. I'm a student at the University of Connecticut at Avery point, and I live here because there is no housing on campus. I'm involved in speaking with incoming freshman and the country glenn management can bet that I will deter any freshman from choosing these appartments as their place of residence next year. Both of my roomates and I have been treated unfairly in the way that management came to our appartment and accused us of having an animal that is not allowed on the property. They also denied our friends passage onto the clubhouse property because kids who had preveously gone to the club house signed in under our appartment number and caused trouble. Our names weren't even signed in but somehow, it was our fault for the disturbances.

Heating and Air conditioning are undsirable. The AC is ancient and extremely loud. Heating doesn't work in some areas of the house and smells like burning hair in areas that do work. Washer and Dryers are old and break often, and bathroom fans either stop working or also smell like burning hair. I have spoken to numerous other people who used to live at the appartments but chose somewhere else to live as soon as their lease was up, and they have all said exactly what I am saying.

The security here is not good. My roomate was taking out the trash one night and found a man inside the dumpster where she was discarding the trash. Men and women have been seen rummaging throught the trash at all time of the day and night. Ace security (the primary security of the complex) is only here four nights out of the week and can not do anything to protect anyone. All they do is drive around in their trucks and call the cops if they think something is going on that's not supposed to be. One night, a friend was walking up to my appartment from hers and she recalled that the Ace security truck followed her all the way from her appartment to mine. This was unwanted and scary for her. The truck followed behind her in a menacing manner. Needless to say she was scared and made even me feel nervous and uncomfortable.

I would not recommend these appartments to anyone and will voice the happenings to anyone who asks about the complex. I can not wait to get out of here and will never be willing to come back under any circumstances. It's not worth it. x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk
