I have lived at Groton Towers since December of 2006. It is now the middle of June 2007, and I have had next to no problems with this place. The hallways are wamr, I agree, but you're in them for like 2 seconds as you walk in or out. I have seen exactly 2 bugs in the past 7 months that I've been here. And yes, it's a centipede....and no, it is not big enough to eat your head off. Get over it. It's a teenie bug, you squish it and get on with your day.

The management has always been friendly to me, never snotty. The handymen always fix my problems (my closet bar busted due to too much clothes on it, totally my fault) within hours of me reporting it. And he is always friendly to me and strikes up conversations in the parking lot.

The grounds of the complex are kept almost immaculate...they have professional lawn guys come in and do the lawns and landscaping and even blow the dirt out of the parking lot. The insides of the buildings are always very tidy and I'm never embarrassed to bring people in. The elevator has never once been broken, like the other review states. And even if it was to be brokwn....use the stairs until they fix it...it won't kill you...there are only 4 floors in both buildings. LOL

Anyway, Groton Towers is pretty nice, and you get what you pay for...these are the nicest apartments I've found in this area and I plan on renewing my lease here. And as for the noise...I haven't had one issue with any of my other neighbors. In fact, it's silent in my apartment most of the day unless I'M the one making noise. The most you will hear is someone locking their door and leaving, and thats only if they are right next door to you.

I honestly don't know what these other reviewers are talking about. I guess they were "high maintenance" sort of people....but as for us normal folk, Groton Towers is well worth a look.
