Unbeleivably Rude Property Management

First of all I am not a tenant, never have been, and never will be. I work in a complex that adjoins La Truimphe and am lucky enough to bring my two miniature schnauzers to work with me. I recently discovered that there is a paved path that connects the complex where I work with La Truimphe and used that path as part of a route to walk my dogs essentially around the block at lunch time. There are no "no trespassing" signs. There are no warning signs whatsoever. Today while I was out on my walk in my suit and tie a woman driving a Land Rover approached me and asked if she could help me. I told her no that I was out for a walk and cutting through. Her next comment was stunning. She said to me that I was never to cut through the property again and that if I did I would be arrested for criminal treaspass. Mind you I have never seen this person or any other person that represented themselves as property management before so I had never been warned that this was a problem for them. She could have nicely told me that they don't allow dogs and that they would appreciate it if I woudn't cut through any more but she, for whatever reason, decided to be absolutely beyond rude. She absolutely left me speachless.
The point of this is that if she was that rude to me, inocently walking my dog through the neighborhood, then I can not imagine what she is like as a property manager.
Look for a beigh collered Land Rover. If its still there, then dont go there. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS

This is a comment from someone who doesn't, and never did, live at La Triumphe and it should have no bearing on a person's decision to move in or not. Obviously this person can't find the proper outlet to vent their frustration (or a proper place to walk their dog). I did live at La Triumphe for 7 years and it was wonderful. Using common sense, one would think that you just don't roam freely on unknown property with or without your dog. I now have my own house and property, as many do. I do not post "no trespassing" signs, but if I find someone letting their dog crap in my yard I think I'm well within my bounds to tell to get out or i'm calling the police! Hmmmmm, isn't there a dog park in Groton?

I agree with the first response. I'm a dog owner and SHAME ON YOU for going onto any property that you do not first know accepts your pets. You are the reason that none of us can find decent housing. POST YOUR NAME so that we all know who the complete FOOL is.

Complete fool and shame on me... those are not very nice and neither was the approach of the property manager whom I had never met before.
The town of Groton forces appartment complexes, shopping centers, and office complexes to tie into eachother with special sidewalks and roads to encourage people to walk instead of drive. The design of this is to establish a neighborhood feel. The plaza where I work connects to La Triumphe which connects depending on the direction you take to two different residential neighborhoods. We are all neighbors.
In spite all of your assuptions, I am a responsible dog owner who cleans up after my dogs should they decide to poop as I always have bags in my pocket. My dogs were not pooping when she approached me and had not pooped anywhere on the La Triumphe property. But if they had I would have cleaned up. Dispite the previous posters assumptions, that is who I am... a nice, responsible guy.
I was out on a walk, minding my own business, and I was almost to the next street when this aweful woman threatened me with arrest. I was stunned. She just layed into me and I never even had a chance to say one word. I had never met her before and she's telling me to never come back or face arrest. What the Hell is that? She could have nicely explained their policy and I would have politely appologized and moved on. I felt her behavior was unneighborly, rude, and unprofessional. I just can not imagine how she runs that complex based on how she treated me. We are all neighbors, we should all be able to get along and dogs should be allowed to walk through with their responsible owners.
I find it interesting that these responses to my post are so virulent. It makes me wonder if it isn't the property manager herself making the post as they fit her personality.

I agree with the original poster. I just moved in and had a run in with the Property Manager. She berated and talked down to me like a 5 year old over a simple incident that was already solved. The path goes around the edge of the property and doesn't have signs, so how is someone supposed to know it's part of the complex. Management needs to give people the benefit of the doubt and treat people (even non-residents) with some amount of respect.
