I wouldn't let me worst enemy live here!

My husband I can't wait to get out of here!! This is honestly the worst place I've ever lived in, anywhere in the world! The buildings are definately not up to fire code, as evidenced by the monthly fires that erupt and send us all out into the street at all hours to wait for the fire marshall to give the all clear. I can't blow dry my hair because the ancient electrical wiring can't handle my hair dryer and blows the entire apartments' circuit breakers every 2 minutes. The walls are paper thin, allowing you to hear every movement from your neighbors at every hour, as well as people banging down the stairs and slamming doors. Children play in the halls, or outside in the street around your cars, or they stand right outside your windows and scream at the top of their lungs. There is obvious gang activity, and neighbors are extremely rude. My husband and I have been woken at all hours of the night by loud bass music, and screaming at least two to three times a week. I feel so uneasy about stepping out the front door that I have to keep the door locked, and only go out during the day, or when my husband is with me. There are always suspicious people walking around 'casing' cars late at night. The dumpsters emit an odor that never goes away, even after they are emptied, and there is trash strewn all over the grass, shrubs, and street. Wild cats, and other animals roam freely through the grounds compeltely unchecked.
The apartments themselves are old and falling apart. Air filters are not changed in the A/C units, so when it comes time to use the A/C you get a moldy, mildew smell that permeates the entire apartment for several months and can cause serious medical concerns, not to mention the fact that it will only cool one room. The heating system labors in the winter time to keep you warm, but since there is no insulation you should expect an electric bill around $250 a month during the winter months. The carpeting is old, stained, dingy, worn and smelly. The hot water heaters only heat enough water to clean one load of dishes, or give you a 10 minute shower before it turns ice cold. The apartments are small, cramped, poorly lit, and bug infested.
As for the office staff and maintenance --- while friendly enough, they are slow to respond, if at all, and the maintenance work is usually a 'jerry-rig' fix that doesn't last. We've had every shelf in our apartment fall down more than once. And we haven't been on our porch in months because the screen door is stuck in one position about 2 inches from the closed position. None of the windows are insulated, and you're lucky if you get a window screen that doesn't fall out, a window that locks, or window blinds that aren't mutilated.
All in all, I would not reccommend this place to my worst enemy, and I have lived all over the world. Oh, and if you are military, forget having a military clause in your lease! We can't wait to get out of here and I'm so eager to go, I'm willing to pay them for me NOT to live here!!
DO NOT SIGN A LEASE WITH THIS APARTMENT!!!!!
