Ok so this place isn't perfect, but it is FAR above and beyond other apartment complexes. The floor plans are HUGE for the money, no shoe-box sized 2nd bedrooms here. If you have an animal, particularly a medium sized dog, you can't find a less expensive or larger place. Maintenance always responded quickly, I had to use the pager a couple of times, any time something needed fixing they got it taken care of within a day or at most 2, and they responded to the pager within a few minutes.
Building 13 was quiet. Neighbors were friendly. I enjoyed the landscaping, nice flowers along the entrance road.
Obviously whoever thinks this place isn't a great value has not compared it to the other "luxury" apartments in the area which allow pets, which run $100 more a month for a smaller apartment, with a tiny 2nd bedroom, and only one bathroom and no washer/dryer. For the money, this was an incredible value.
The drawbacks: snow was not adequately plowed, nobody moved their cars so the plows could do their job and management/staff would only post signs requesting people move their cars to certain places when it snowed, but did not enforce this. Outside of building 13 a number of the outside lights were not working for the majority (some for all) of the 2 years I lived there. Also, the off-site management was a little frustrating at times... Those in the office were helpful as best they could be, but I felt like management off site didn't communicate well with office staff and the staff would sometimes have to call, or have you call, offsite management.
Overall, this was a great place. I wish I hadn't had to have moved out of the area or I would have stayed much longer than 2 years.
