Absolute Hell

I moved in with my room mate in Fall of 2007. Immediately, maintenance had to be called because our top of the line "Cheshire-styled" apartment was infested with spiders. After calling maintenance for at least two weeks, our parents got involved and called maintenance saying they would withhold their rent check UNTIL the apartment was sprayed for bugs.

The vent behind the dryer also served us a problem. The tubing connecting the dryer to the vent was detached and filled the room with lint/dust every time the dryer was used (not to mention the poor quality of the dryer because you had to run it at least twice in order to dry your clothing). Again, we called maintenance numerous times and it took them three weeks to respond to the call...unexceptable.

Upon our walk-through to move out, the man giving the walk-through was extremely rude to my mother, slamming drawers saying that the apartment was in unexceptable condition. The woman in the leasing office also had decided to fine us after finding ONE crumb behind a pipe located under the sink. The carpets in the apartment were leased to us with faded stains all over, and they were not reported when we moved in, even though the guy in charge at the time said they would be. We ended up losing $1,156.00 of our security deposit because of the fade stains. The woman belittled by mother telling her that "she does not speak intelligently" and called her "emotional"...unprofessional.

Aspen Glen is absolutely ridiculous in the way they run their business. It is inadequately unprofessional and their is lack of communication between tenant and leasing office, due to the leasing office and maintenances avoidance to comply with the needs of tenants. The people supposedly "in charge" of apartment complex run the complex unprofessionally and are rude with being hurtful. Business should be conducted in a professional and open manner, instead of being dishonest and insulting to their patrons.

We had the same problems with Aspen Glen. Don't give up. Take them to court and involve BBB. That's what we did and got our deposit back. Don't let them get away with it.
