Chestnut Hill East
< Prev Review | >
We've lived here for almost three years and given apartments in the past we would certainly rate this as one of the best. I'm not exactly sure where the previous poster found crooked walls or walls that don't meet at 90 degrees but none of that exist where we are. Our apartment is great.
Pros:
The kitchen is a dream. It is modern, it has all the appliances you could want and it has an amazing amount of storage space. It is also a beautiful kitchen not only by apartment standards but by house standards around here as well.
Bathroom is great and there is a washer/dryer hookup for a FULL size washer and dryer. This is wonderful if you have a family and a lot of laundry. Bathroom is spacious and it has a ventilation system that actually works.
Storage space is great, we have a lot of closets AND a storage space that locks in another area of the building. This means that we can live comfortably without stressing about where to put things.
Parking is assigned so I'm not exactly sure how you can mark this place down on that. You can receive up to two spots and if you wait what is usually a short amount of time one of those will be in covered parking which is GREAT in the winter time.
We have no issues with maintenance. The maintenance man, Ron, lives on site and he has always responded amazingly fast to anything that we have called in. Calls are made to the main office and the woman who answers there, Joanna, has always been extremely nice as well.
Visitor parking is a very short walk away but there is no shortage of it so no complaints. There are places around here that don't even have visitor parking or only two or three spots so I can't complain.
Heating is awesome. We have lived here three years and only turned on our heat three times. Each time was for a maximum of 20 minutes. The apartment holds heat amazingly well and you never need the actual heat.
Air conditioning is equally good and you can have this place freezing cold in less than 30 minutes if you want. I've lived in places with window or wall units that could take a full day to cool a place down.
Cable is included in rent which helps. We upgraded to digital and HD and only pay around 30 dollars.
The place has AMAZING soundproofing. Our son loves to run and play and there has never been complaints. There is concrete between upper and lower floors which means no squeaky floors etc. I've never heard our neighbors TV or other noises as well.
The elevator does break at times but it seems most of those times are when people are moving in or out and try to block the door open which causes the elevator to shut down since it has a safety mechanism. It won't start back up until restarted so it is normally working when you return in the afternoon.
Overall I would say it is a great place to live. You do have a gym on site and you have a community room as well. It is a very safe building and well taken care of.

Hmm, this wouldn't be an office employee writing this now would it, Joanna? The review sounds great but you might want to try proof-reading your made up story before you post. At the beginning you state that you have lived there for almost 2 years but then when you mention heating you state that you have lived there for 3 years! Shame on you, lying and trying to scam people!
